Rise of Olympus Slot now Live at Play’n Go Casinos

Legendary Greek Gods wield their power of divination upon the reels in Rise of Olympus Online Slot, new from Play’n Go.

Fortunately, the software engineer over at Swedish gaming firm Play’n Go were well aware of that when they began creating their newest addition, Rise of Olympus Slot. Company CEO Johan Törnqvist said it himself, “Everyone is familiar with Greek mythology so, if you are going to base a game around it, you have to do it right.”

He is certain the fine attention to detail will be the greatest draw for players. “I believe that the attention paid to the style of these characters will pique a player’s interest; and that the uniqueness and the detail of their characteristics will enhance their gameplay experience.”

New from Play’n Go, Rise of Olympus

The Rise of Olympus Online Slot hit Play’n Go casinos last week, and it’s got some interesting qualities that players are sure enjoy. Equipped with a 5×5 reel set, and instead of utilizing specific paylines, the game pays winning combination when 3 or more alike symbols appear in a row, horizontally or vertically. Instead of spinning reels, it features cascading symbols that fall into place. All symbols involved in a win (except wilds) explode, and the remaining symbols drop into place for a chance at more winning combinations.

One of the three Greek Gods, Hades, Poseidon and Zeus, will be looking over the reels at all ties. Each can randomly trigger their own Hand of God feature on any non-winning spin. When Zeus triggers, two sets of symbols are completely destroyed. Poseidon will randomly place up to 2 wilds on the reels. Hades transforms one set of symbols int another.

The Hand of God features instantly trigger when the Wrath of Olympus Meter is fully charged. The meter charges for consecutive wins, and resets if no win occurs. Each consecutive win also increases the payout multiplier by 1x, up to as high as 20x. Multipliers also reset following a loss.

Rise of Olympus Slot Free Spins

Free spins are hard to come by, requiring all symbols on the grid the be destroyed. Players choose from 1 of 3 free spins games, each represented by one of the Greek Gods. For every non-winning spin, the chosen God’s Hand of God feature will instantly trigger. Fully charging the Wrath of Olympus Meter will award additional free spins.

Zeus Free Spins: Player receives 8 free spins, +2 for recharge.

Poseidon Free Spins: Player receives 5 free spins, +3 for recharge.

Hades Free Spins: Player receive 4 free spins, +4 for recharge.

Is It Worth Your Time?

Anything new from Play’n Go is usually worth taking out for a spin. Overall, the Rise of Olympus Online Slot is extremely entertaining; probably among the top 3 Greek God themed games I’ve played in a very long time.

It’s not one for the faint of wallet, though. It has a 96.5% RPT and high volatility, so the wins don’t come very often, but pay pretty well when they do. I don’t know just how valuable the free spins are. After 250+ spin, I have yet to trigger them. It went live on August 22, 2018, so you can try it out for yourself at all Play’n Go casinos.
