Triple Jokers Classic Reel Slot Review

Online slots fans are seeing triple with Pragmatic Play’s new Triple Jokers Slot.

There’s just something about classic 3-reel slot machines that continue to enthrall players of all generations. It’s something in the simplicity of it. All slot machines are renowned for their lack of complication, but classic slots go so much further. Their paylines are understood without question, their symbols are straight forward, and the pay table is displayed right there on the side of the main screen.

Add in an appealing theme with vibrant graphics and a reasonably high RTP, and you’ve got the makings for a fan favorite. Develop it as part of a series, and manufacturers can captivate audiences for years to come. That’s exactly what multi-national digital gaming studio Pragmatic Play is hoping to achieve with its recent release of the Triple Jokers classic reel slot.

The problem with that plan is that the Joker’s series this new game appears to follow wasn’t created by Pragmatic Play. It is an extensive series produced by Play’n Go over the years. Sure, no one owns the rights on jokers or their crazy bell-jingling hats, but the ostensible mimicry was enough to make this seasoned iGaming vet do a double take.

With that said, let’s see if this new Triple Jokers online slot lives up to its erroneously assumed reputation…

Pragmatic Play – Triple Jokers Slot Review

I’m pleasantly surprised to report that this game has some admirable qualities. It’s a standard 3×3 reel, 5 payline game with common classic slot graphics. The Joker is the highest paying standard symbol, worth 20x the line bet. Other symbols are 7s, bells, bars, spade, hearts, clubs and diamonds.

I played this for a few spins before entering the pay table – not an uncommon way to play 3-reel slots since the payouts are listed in plain site. However, I immediately noticed some extra features being triggered, and had to delve deeper to find out how and why. It turns out all symbols have a propensity to stack for a reason.

When the jokers stack 3 on a reel, they transform into Wild Jokers and set off the Spin Till You Win feature.

The stacked wilds remain in place while the rest of the reels spin again. If no win results, those reels continue spinning until one does. If a second 3-high stack of jokers appears, it too will lock in place and turn wild for a respin, giving players the best chance of landing wild jokers on all 9 positions. Doing so will pay out the max 5000 coins payout.

With a bet range of $0.05 up to $50 per spin, it’s got potential to entertain both budget bettors and high rollers, but it could take a well stocked bankroll to hit the biggest wins. The paytable says straight out that this is a highly volatile game. As Pragmatic Play puts it; “High volatility games pay out less often on average but the chance to hit big wins in a short time span is higher.”

The designers made sure to give Triple Jokers Slot a viable RTP of 96.47%, meeting the industry average for online slot machines. Engineered in HTML5, it’s fully compatible with all major operating systems, therefore playable on both desktop and mobile.

It also comes with customizable autoplay functions that include a turbo spinner, but I do not recommend using it. By my calculations (stop watch and demo play), at max speed, you can autoplay up to 90 spins per minute! That is not a healthy or entertaining way to play the slots. Slow the pace, take your time, enjoy the game, and as always, gamble responsibly.
