A Closer Look at Wild Pixies from Pragmatic Play

Wild Pixies Online Slot: The pragmatic approach to fantasy slot machines.

You wouldn’t normally expect to find the words “pragmatic” and “pixies” appropriately conjoined within the same sentence. Today, however, they couldn’t be more in tune with one another. That’s because we’ll be taking a closer look at the beautifully rendered Wild Pixies Slot released earlier this month by Pragmatic Play.

Wild Pixies transports players deep into the lush forests of a mystical land, where vibrant flora and magical fairies bathe in the shimmering moonlight. The stunning graphical display and equally enchanting musical score come together within a medium-to-high variance game that’s got an impressive 96.5% RTP.

The company’s Chief Commercial Officer, Melissa Summerfield, comments:

“Wild Pixies is a fun-filled, magical slot experience, and one we are thrilled to release. With its immersive gameplay and enchanting bonus feature, we are confident Wild Pixies will be a hit.”

Wild Pixies Online Slot

Wild Pixies is a 5×3, 20-line video slot with the usual object of lining up matching symbols to initiate a win. There are four fairies on the reels, two males and two females, plus playing card values of A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 rounding out the online slot’s standard symbols. The Pixie Wings are the Wild, and the precious Diamond is the Scatter.

The wild is the highest paying symbol when lined up with other wilds, and does the usual job of substituting for all other standard symbols to help create payouts. The scatters appear only on reels 1, 3 and 5. If they appear on reels 1 and 3, and just miss on reel 5, a Scatter Nudge feature triggers, nudging it back into view. With or without the nudge feature, landing 3 scatters at once initiates Roaming Wilds Free Spins.

This feature begins with 8 free spins. During free games, all naturally occurring wilds wings will be captured in one of 6 circles atop the screen. For every 2 wings collected, the player receives +2 free spins, and those two wings are sent floating back onto the game board in random positions. These roaming wilds will continue to move about the reels with each spin until the free games are over.

Players can only capture up to 6 wings, and scatters will not appear on the reels during free games.

More Fantasy Slot Machines by Pragmatic Play

Pragmatic Play’s foray into fantasy slots began with the late 2015 release of Forest Treasure. The difference in graphic quality between that release and their latest Wild Pixies Online Slot is simply phenomenal, revealing just how far technology has come in four short years.

As the months went by, many more games came to market, including a few more sci-fi titles like Dwarven Gold and Dwarven Gold Deluxe, Dragon Kingdom and Queen of the Atlantic. In mid-2017, Pragmatic launched Pixie Wings; no doubt the inspiration behind – if not an unintended prequel to – this month’s Wild Pixies Slot.

Other fantasy themed online slots released since then by Pragmatic Play include titles like Jade Butterfly, Madame Destiny, Leprechaun Song, and Vikings & Trolls. These fantasy games make up a mere minuscule allocation of the award-winning brand’s complete collection of online casino games.
